Not a Creature Was Stirring...

Delightful little woodland animals make for a charming theme when holiday decorating. Snowy owls, little bunnies, and adorable hedgehogs round out our holiday menagerie.

We hung the little creatures inside old wooden crates and tucked them into snowy scenes along the mantle.

We made waterless snow globes by using hot glue to attach woodland animals to the lid of a large jar. Glue on winter greenery, berries, and foliage and tie tinsel or festive ribbon around the base. Make several to give as gifts.

Below, a stemmed glass is filled with faux snow and topped with a shimmering ornament. Use several to line a holiday table, window ledge, or mantel. Their sparkle will catch the light.

Nestle glittered ball ornaments in a glass stand and fill in with greenery:

  1. Darling little woodland creatures. My daughter would love these. What a clever way to display them. As for my holiday theme I've been purchasing vintage tree ornaments like the ones we had when I was young. I need more but for now I'm happy with just a few on my small tree.

  2. oh my goodness.. these creatures are very sweet.
We have a tree that is all mice with a banner that reads "not a creature was stirring not even a mouse"....thanks for this visual treat!
