A Moroccan-Inspired Holiday...

Rich jewel tones that are a hallmark of Moroccan style inspired this dramatic holiday decor theme. To start, we allowed the vintage syrroco starburst (one the wall, above) to set the scene. Gilded branches and gilded evergreens were layered in to achieve the exotic look. Oversized candy jars hold cookies and foil-wrapped chocolates. Cake stands hold an array of desserts like an orange-filled lady finger cake (below), cupcakes, decadent chocolates, and a rich torte.

Shake up your holiday decor with some jewel-toned colors mixed in with gold. We shopped discount stores like TJ Maxx and Michaels as well as the online retailer Rue La La to pull the look together.

Gingerbread men (below) have been dusted with edible glitter:

Fill a lidded cake stand (below)with delicate glass ornaments and display in the center of your holiday table for dramatic effect:

Who says Christmas decor has to look simple?
