We all Scream For Ice cream...and Koralee!

If God created ice cream to make life more tolerable, then he surely sent Koralee Teichroeb as ice cream's angelic ambassador to lead us all in the direction of what is good, beautiful, and so sweet about living. In blog star fashion, the author of the popular blog Blue Bird Notes enchants with her fully illustrated, colorful book Everything Goes With Ice Cream

A feast for the senses -- Koralee's book is rife with decadent, richly delicious looking images, tantalizing recipes, and a plethora of fun craft ideas inspired by desserts, and gives new meaning to the hip word, "cool."  I was totally drawn to its seasonal approach with ideas for every major holiday, but also delighted with its use of seasonal ingredients and tasty toppings.  I've carried the book everywhere with me the last two weeks, poring over the pages as I engage in swirled soft serve, sea salted caramel gelato, and fruited high test ice creams with whole strawberries and mix or sprinkles, jimmies and crunch coat.

I am looking forward to the summer season when I will make the Ice Cream Roll Up Cake on page 40, the Cream Cookie Pie on page 78, and amaze my dinner guests with S'more Bar Milkshakes on page 136.  But that is not all: you won't just be mesmerized by the sundaes, sandwiches and pops... but you will want to craft every little project along the way and scour your local flea market for vintage finds.

Pick up this book for a brilliant summer house gift, hostess gift, or for those many birthday celebrations.  I intend on finding a set of vintage sundae cups, parfait spoons and Koralee's book for every wedding I attend this year. Check it out and be COOL!

For a special Memorial Day Weekend giveaway we have three copies of Koralee's book
that you can win just by leaving us a comment letting us know your favorite ice cream treat or flavor.

I think it is wonderful that you are giving us a chance to win her book! I think a fresh strawberry ice cream in a waffle cone, given to a small child to see their face light up when they taste it is such a perfect delight! amazing!

  8. Oh my goodness. I'm so loving the idea for the wedding gift. I've given ice cream freezers as wedding gifts as well, and this book would be the icing on the cake, or should I say the whipped cream and cherry on top? Fun, fun, fun. Happy Memorial Day.

  10. What fun it would be to win a copy of Koralee's book - even to just drool over the wonderful pictures I know are within. We have a local dairy here (Kawartha Dairy) and they produce the most wonderful ice creams - it's hard to pick a favourite flavour but Moose Tracks, Bear Paw, Raspberry Thunder, and of course French Vanilla are among the best. Thanks for giving us a chance to win!

  11. Koralee's book sounds wonderful! I can't decide on ne flavor since mood is usually a big factor--- winter is way too cold to eat ice cream - except peppermint; gotta be strawberry in spring and summer means watermelon and/or raspberry sorbet; chocolate, in almost any variety is always the fall back choice!

  17. Years ago in our last neighborhood we decided to invite all the neighbors over for an ice cream social in our driveway. We hoped this would be a great way to meet lots of folks without them feeling intimidated about going to a stranger's home. Our three socials turned out to be great successes, and we still think about those special times ten years later.

Koralee's book would have come in quite handy back then! I'd LOVE to win a copy! My favorite flavor is brownie fudge double chocolate! But then again, you can't beat fresh peach homemade ice cream!
