Photographic Memories...

Jenny and I have been traveling a great deal this past month to complete our photo shoots for both HALLOWEEN with Matthew Mead and HOLIDAY with Matthew Mead. We've been to many, many lovely places and met so many kind and supportive readers and friends. This week, it's time to catch you up with some "love letters" to the places and people we have had the pleasure to "get to know."

During our trip to San Luis Obispo, Ca, we enjoyed a beautiful stay at the French inspired B&B Petit Soleil -- in a charming suite with lots of special details, delicious breakfast foods (all homemade!), and a special hors d'oeuvres hour in the afternoon. A very nice and easy walk led us to an engaging downtown area with great shops and even better restaurants.

Many of the downtown stores had amazing signs and even more wonderful goods in their stores. One of my favorites was ATMODSPHERE which had wonderful new decorating finds. An interior shot of the store gives you the "drool-worthy" idea:

And our favorite, of course, the Remnants of the Past show, held at the Madonna Inn, which is probably one of the best shows I have ever attended.  Great dealers, authentic vintage items, and eager customers happily purchasing lots of amazing items.
Rosemary Warren and Denise Bryson made the trip to see me from the LA area. We are going to collaborate together in the near future.

We met up with Jo Packham of WHERE WOMEN CREATE fame for a book signing at the Remnants show... Jo is always inspiring and as you see here, funny.

Shortly after that trip, we visited Cape Cod for a HOLIDAY shoot and are on to Kansas City this week to shoot with three of the most stylish women in the Mid-West.. so Stay tuned!!!

Until then,
Matthew
