Collection of the Day...and our Flea Market Finds giveaway winners!

I am mad about vintage mixing bowls. I can't seem to resist them when I spy one at a flea market or tag sale. Here are some of my favorite colors from the 30's and 40's.  I like to seasonally change the color scheme on the open shelves in my studio kitchen, and the first thing I switch out is my bowl collection. In my prop house, I store everything by color which is a handy way to retrieve props in a hurry.
Sooo, how much would you pay for your most coveted collectible, and what is it?

And to cap the week off, ten of our readers have won a free copy of Flea Market Finds with Matthew Mead. Please send us your full names and addresses to so we can get them in the mail (hot off the presses in April!!)

  1. Oh my....this is just the cat's meow!
Thanks ever so much, simply can't wait!

  2. I love the fresh colors of these bowls! They look so yummy! I'm excited to be a winner!!!!! Thanks so much--you've just made my day!

  3. Congrats to the winners! I love the bowls. The colors are fantastic! I collect vintage MacKenzie-Childs from the early eighties. I pay way too much, but my husband and I registered for it when we married in the eighties. No one understood it, and they kept calling us asking which pattern we wanted, and we said that we wanted them all, not one single pattern. Everyone thought we were crazy that we did not want matching plates!
