Summer Fun...

Summer is such a fleeting moment in the scheme of a year and with back to back issues of our magazine and the food photography for the AP, it's been a real whirlwind.  I've been flying all over the country and last week was happily on the west coast shooting in wine country and then down to LA for a food shoot.  Both are for our upcoming holiday issue and both are with prominent bloggers.  On Thursday, I worked with Kate Riley from the blog Centsational Girl in Petaluma.  We had a wonderful chance to visit and share, and Kate created beautiful displays in her home in a unique color way that is perfect for New Year's Eve entertaining.  Read about my visit on her blog.  It involves a very special feature which you will be able to see in our Holiday magazine.  

 

Next, I jetted off to LA to meet up with Kate Wheeler of the popular blog Savour Fare.  Kate Wheeler is contributing an entire story on Christmas cookies, and I was lucky enough to taste a few no-bake cookies that are sure to become instant additions to your holiday repertoire.  It was an extraordinary trip that I won't soon forget and that you will be able to see in just a few short weeks.  Look for a link to buy the special book version in the next few weeks... it will likely arrive to you before the newsstand edition is out.

 

Now, reflecting what I am up to today, here is a link to a delicious fruit fool I shot for the Associated Press. I ate a whole parfait glass while shooting it!
