Gardening Inspiration...from us to you!

 It's that time of year again!

When garden centers are setting up for the arrival of eager gardeners itching to get planting and usher in summer with flowers.

As I see it, there are two types of gardeners: those who turn around, throw tulip bulbs over their shoulder and plant them where they land, and those who lay them out, colour-coded of course, and plant them in organized clusters. 

 

Neither is  wrong - but they are inherently different. 

And then there are those who have ample ground with which to play (and plant) and those who face geographic limitations, and look to containers and windowboxes in which to create a showy display of natural color.

 

 Which is why gardening magazines like the one we spent many months working on come in very handy. Container Gardening (look for Country Almanac # 141) is a 144-page gardening magazine full of gorgeous imagery, tips, guides, recipes, and outdoor style inspiration and will be hitting newstands on or around April 15th. Look for it on newstands and anywhere that sells magazines and books. And if you want to be sure you are buying the right one, look for this cover, below, with the little symbol in the upper right corner that announces, "Style Ideas from Matthew Mead."

It truly is a gorgeous magazine and we are had a lot of fun working on it!
