Spring ahead to...SUMMER!!

Here are some things to think about that are coming up in the next few months: we are so busy here I have had to write it all down myself!
Early April means the release of CONTAINER GARDENING... it will be on newsstands everywhere and will have so many great stories inside including window boxes, hanging planters, English garden planters, urns and so much more. Everything was shot at the peak of seasonal beauty so I know it will really inspire you to think and plan for the upcoming summer season.  Stay tuned for the exact date and prepare to be inspired!
As you know, I was at designer Tricia Foley's house last week shooting her home for our Summer issue.  She invited me to participate in her NEW GENERAL STORE EVENT on May 21.  I would love to see you all there!! We will be selling off some of the beautiful props used in our SUMMER ISSUE as well as books and magazines. Stay tuned because I will have details on some special things that Trish has planned. And check out her amazing blog.
And, of course, SUMMER with MATTHEW MEAD is  moving along at break-neck speed! It is filled with fresh ideas on dyeing fabrics, painting furniture, a fresh new cottage look and of course delicious foods and fun ways to savor every aspect of summer. It all goes to the printer April 1! We just completed a wonderful story on TEA with TEASY.... check out their blog and delicious tea blends - they are unsurpassed, truly!  And, finally, we are just exploring what we will do for a FALL ISSUE, and let's just say we have some real surprises in store and we may just take a trip across the pond... more to come on that!!

Summer with Matthew Mead is sold only via this website.
Have you ordered your copy yet?

  2. Oh the look of summer...I can taste the ice cream, smell the flowers --- thanks.

  3. ALL very exciting news Matthew! And I just love the vibrant purple hues you captured in those images above.... I am looking forward to the garden-themed inspiration as well as what lies ahead for FALL!

  5. Perfect! I was looking for new ideas for containers this year. Can't wait to see it!

  6. Yay!! Summer is really coming. Your magazine and the actual season.
    I can't wait!

  7. I am so looking forward to your summer issue. I adored your Christmas edition! Really, the images were like art and the stories so thoughtfully put together. I have worked in this industry for years and trust me, people like you and Tricia Foley continue to surprise and delight us all. Your wotk is infinitely more creative than most of the magazines on newstands today. I am excited to see how you bring summer to us. And on a snowy cold day like today, I am in definite need of a beautiful dose of summer.

By the way, will you be producing more issues after this one? (Please say yes.)

  8. Oh, I am sure your Summer issue will be wonderful, but I also have my sights set on your FALL issue! I can only imagine how delightful and perhaps a little spooky that will be. Looking forward to both and beyond of course! Thank you for making the holidays so very magical...

  9. That ice cream looks de-lish! What kind is it? Did you make it? If so, I need the recipe pleaz.
