Linda MacDonald is a freelance writer who, in addition to her role as Executive Editor of each issue of Holiday with Matthew Mead, Linda authors the popular decorating blog, Restyled Home, which has twice been featured in The Washington Post’s blog watch feature and named one of House and Home's Ultimate List of Online Decorating Destinations. Linda is known for creating stylish spaces on a realistic budget, re-purposing and tweaking the ordinary into the extraordinary, and showing her readers that style on a dime is both achievable and fun! Exercising her green thumb, Linda wrote an entire 144-page gardening magazine, Container Gardening 2011, and loves searching for vintage finds for her home in Nova Scotia, Canada.

About Sarah Egge (Senior Writer/Editor):

From the Midwest, Sarah Egge is a busy freelance writer with a decade-long history of writing and editing interior design articles for many noted shelter magazines. These days, she balances her writing career with raising, alongside her husband, their two young daughters. Sarah  authors the blog, Adventures of the Cheapskate Decorator where she chronicles her experiences in decorating her 1920's bungalow in a thrifty manner - employing tips and techniques gleaned from years of working alongside the masters of design, as she puts it, on photo shoots for top decorating magazines. Sarah has written many of Matthew's Holiday special issues, including his popular Halloween bookazines.

About Stephanie Nielson (Contributing Style Editor):

  6. Mathew - I met you years ago when you were promoting one of your books at Junk Bonanza. You made quite an impression on this new designer and vendor at that event... I did purchase your Holiday 2010 issue and I can not tell you how impressed I am on the whole package... the paper quality and the fact you use a local printer is Fabulous! The photography and layout ... and lack of advertisement IS over the top!!!

Loved every page. I only wish we could find other decorating magazines with the same high standards. I can't wait to see the summer issue.
