While many who originally pre-ordered the magazine (which includes those who ordered by November 1st) have received their issue, there seems to be pockets of locations that are still waiting to receive their copies of HOLIDAY. California, Canada and other international destinations, and even places as near to Matthew and Jenny as Massachusetts seem to be on the "list" of those who are still patiently (or impatiently) tapping their toes, waiting for the mailman to bring their copies. It is, to be honest, very frustrating to us, too. The post office informs us of the following:
*If you ordered between Nov. 2nd to Nov.10th, you are part of our second bulk mailing, which was mailed on November 15th and will take as long as two weeks to arrive plus factoring in an additional day for the Veterans Day/Remembrance Day holiday. Canadian and international orders are taking a bit longer to arrive as they must clear customs, which accounts for the delay along with the extra distance the magazine must travel to reach you.
*If you ordered between the period of November 11th through to November 19th, the magazine is being sent out on Wednesday the 24th as part of the third (and final) bulk mailing (again taking two weeks from the 24th plus the Thanksgiving holiday).
If you are purchasing HOLIDAY with Matthew Mead, we are now only offering an express delivery option, as an additional bulk mailing would push delivery too close to Christmas, and we all know we want our holiday inspiration in time to actually do something with it, right?! This means that the magazine is no longer being offered for $15.95 and is now being sold for $21.95 which includes a 3-5 day delivery date to U.S. destinations. Canadian orders will take a bit longer, again, to include the minor delay at Customs.
And for those who pre-ordered by November 1st and who have not received it yet, your magazine is in the mail! If you have not received your pre-ordered copy, it is fair to say it is not because we did not process your order. We are proud to report that we have had only ONE error in processing orders, which is amazing given that we are a tiny staff processing, addressing and shipping out the orders. We are not a large distribution center; rather we are basically five people handling the entire process ourselves (two being Matthew and Jenny Mead!). We are striving to ensure that the magazines reach you as quickly as possible and we promise that no one will be left hanging without a magazine. All future magazine orders (which are now shipped express) will be shipped in an envelope and we have (and will) replaced any magazines that arrive to customers damaged.
Because we want you to be happy, we truly do.
It is the spirit of the holidays, after all!
For those in the first bulk mailing (orders before November 1st), we will ship replacement issues to you if your magazines do not reach you by end of day Monday and they will be mailed out on Wednesday, to the best of our ability. As you can appreciate, that will be an expensive endeavour, with the high probability that the original copy will arrive after we ship out a replacement! We will keep you posted in this regard.
