I tend to decorate colors for Christmas pretty much with what I decorate the rest of the year, neutral colors. I may add a chartreuse green, but I like a lot of white, silver, and brown. I do one room (front room) in Silver Sage Blue, and my bedroom I decorate (at least I did this past year) with coppers and creams. I guess it really depends on my room colors. I'm tweeting (and fb) your giveaway. I have yet to win one, but love The Vintage Pearl's pieces. Fingers crossed!
ReplyDeleteFor years, I would only decorate with green & white, but a couple of years ago I threw caution to the wind and decided to go crazy with color for Christmas. I have turquoise and orange, lime green and hot pink...you name it, I've got it. I love it, the more color the better!
ReplyDeleteI love blue/silver as well as typical Christmas red/green.
ReplyDeleteI am a total traditionalist - Christmas red and green all the way!
ReplyDeleteI love The Vintage Pearl - so many great pieces!

i'm a purist, i guess. it's always been red and green for me. but none of this bright stuff. always in muted tones that perfectly match my evergreen garland and berries.
ReplyDeleteI'm into purple and red. Not 'smack you in the face' bright purple and red but tamer.
ReplyDeleteI did tweetle de dee about this too.
ReplyDeleteI tweeted! (user pinkfrogpress)
ReplyDeleteI love decorating in pink, red, and green. Those colors are so pretty to me!
ReplyDeleteFabulous giveaway! I love decorating with red and white.
ReplyDeleteI love blue, yellow, green!
ReplyDeleteOh...I'd love to win something from The Vintage Pearl. My favorite Xmas colors? I love lots of combinations for Christmas...one of my favorites that I've used several times for illustrations and what you use on your blog...turquoise and red. But my own Christmas is vintage - tarnished....pink, aqua, silver, mint green...lots of white glitter, bottle brush trees, lots of tinsel trees...all balls on my tree are from the 30's through 60's. I'm always searching for that perfect xmas decoration with slight tarnish...not too much tarnish.
ReplyDeleteChristmas colors? All of em! Really! And the Vintage Pearl simply has a lot of really beautiful pieces...how do you choose?
ReplyDeletei have always loved a classic red, white and silver combination. but in the last few years, i have been drawn to aqua and pink vintage christmas items.
ReplyDeleteI like white, silver, and wood for holiday decorating. I am also a follower.
ReplyDeleteFor the last few years I've been decorating with blue and silver...I have a collection of old blue & silver ornaments that I fill old apothecary jars to the brim! I find blue papers and tie soft silver ribbons and or ornaments to the gifts. I love the soft palette. xoxo Beth

ReplyDeleteI am traditional also and love green and red. And I'm a follower of your blog. Thanks for hosting this awesome giveaway! =)
ReplyDeleteFavorite holiday palette is blues and silvers and touches of red! Gorgeous jewelry!
ReplyDeleteI decorate with a happy, color crayon palette: red, blue, green, yellow, purple, orange and then throw in lots of shiny stuff. Big color to cheer the place up! This is Texas and it's either ridiculously cold or unseasonably warm. Either way, I'm covered.
ReplyDeleteLuv The Vintage Pearl.
I sent out a tweet about your giveaway!

I blogged about the giveaway! I'm so excited!
ReplyDeleteI like hunter green and silver. But this year French General has come out with a new line...Lumiere de Noel, so it may be red birds and pearl white for us this year. ps. I FB'ed about this too.
ReplyDeleteRed and Gold :-) Would love to win this Giveaway. Thanks for the opportunity!!
ReplyDeletemy favorite holiday color palette is red, tiffany blue and silver. oh, and i'm a follower of your blog too!

ReplyDeleteWhat a fun giveaway - thanks for the chance!
I love silver, gold, and white--but I am loving a little pop of color. For example, on my girls' tree I have pink and zebra mixed in. So cute! :)
ReplyDeleteI'm a follower, and I love apple green and silver. Love this blog!
ReplyDeleteI always use white with touches of green and silver.
ReplyDeleteI'm a follower... can't wait to get my copy of your magazine! I can only imagine how great it will be. Over the years I have tried many colors for my trees. I decorate several each year. But my main tree for the past few years has been decorated with a peacock theme. We raise peacocks so I have lots of the feathers. I love the blue/green color mixed with browns and shades of bronze. I also incorporate some clear lights as well as some speciality ribbons to hightlight my tree. I must say at this point in time that's my fav... now I feel like decorating for Christmas... see what you did?
ReplyDeleteKeep the great ideas a rolling in..
I'm pretty traditional and like red and green, but a close second is blue and silver.
ReplyDeletemight be impossible to choose. last year was green, red, cream, black, and teal. with yellow and blue and red birds.
ReplyDeleteDuring the past few holidays I have loved red and green of course but I've been throwing some aqua and orange in the mix and I love it. It's usually inspired by a Christmas quilting fabric medley that I see and there have been some great groups of fabrics lately for the holidays.
ReplyDeleteI put the info about the giveaway on the sidebar of my blog.
ReplyDeleteI try not go to out of the traditional red and green but I do add touches of white and silver as well.
ReplyDeleteI love to decorate in white and grey, with mercury glass and dare I say it, I use black.....I love my Christmas black ornaments....very French!
ReplyDeleteI will showing lots of it this year on my blog.... maybe others will love it too!
Cheers,
Margaret B
I use colors that coordinate with my house decor....dark red and green mostly. I love Christmas and The Vintage Pearl!
ReplyDeleteAlthough I love to look at the all white rooms, I don't know if I could live with it, I love color! I'm not very consistent with my Christmas colors, red with chartreuse, burgundy with light blue, faded vintage red and green. Changes from year to year or room to room. One year I found a brown and aqua ribbon I liked at Sam's Club and cut loose. Had me a whole lot of fun for less than $10!
ReplyDeleteOoh, I absolutely LOVE the jewelry from Vintage Pearl and have been drooling over it for quite some time!
ReplyDeleteOur Christmas color palette depends on the room! Deep red/forest green for some of our spaces, gold/silver/light blue for others, white and silver for our master bedroom, and bright pink/lime green/orange for our school/craft room! I definitely match the Christmas decor to the space it's in!
Last year I decorated the tree in Orange and Red and it looked fantastic!! I think I will be doing the same this year.
ReplyDeleteLOVE the vintage pearl!
I like to decorate with shades of white, silver and gold for Christmas.
ReplyDeleteRed, white and silver is always classy but I love bright vibrant colors too like dark blue, green, orange, violet, and fucshia!

I am a traditionalist and LOVE red, green, and white mostly. I go back and forth between deep rich tones and happy, fun tones. I keep saying that I would love to do blue and silver....maybe this year is the year!

ReplyDeleteIf I were to choose, I love any muted holiday color of a more rustic look. :)

ReplyDeleteI love turquoise and gold with a shot of red or hot pink make it pop! Not very traditional!
ReplyDeleteI LOVE a true Vintage Christmas, therefore, I seem to not focus on one or two specific colors, rather than as long as it's vintage, handmade and sweet, it gets displayed in my home. :)
ReplyDeleteI tend to decorate with what suits the room...so in a more formal room it will be silver or gold with a bit of green...in a family or hard working room i will go with hits of red.

I like white with gold, silver, maroon red and forest green for accents. I really love all the aqua that I've seen out there, but it just doesn't go with all my decorations or my home...
ReplyDeleteMy favorite palette is red, turquoise blue, pink and silver. Very retro. Our house looks like a 50's throwback around the holidays!
ReplyDeleteOur tree is covered with every color in the rainbow because it is decorated with four generations of ornaments... but if I were to start over with a scheme, it would be red and white.
ReplyDeleteRed and green are the main colors. Then I have thrown in pink and lime green. My living room is in burgundy and gold. LOVE the holidays!
